This short film is a study of D. W. Griffith, one of the most famous filmmakers in the history of cinema, and is the first slapstick comedy in American cinema, made at a time before Hollywood existed. The lead role was played by Mack Sennett, a superstar who later trained Chaplin, Bing Crosby, and Darryl F. Zanuck, and laid the foundation for entertainment films. Enjoy this madcap comedy from the dawn of cinema with the elegant piano accompaniment of Eri Kozaki.
